Bogna J. Gladden-Obidzinska is an aesthetician and philosopher of culture with 15+ years of academic experience. She serves on the board of the Polish Society for Aesthetics and is a team member of the international CAPHE project funded by the Horizon Europe grant programme. Earlier, Bogna studied at UWC Adriatic in Duino, Italy, received her doctorate from the University of Warsaw, completed an NCN-funded post-doctoral programme at the Jagiellonian University, and has enjoyed visiting fellowships in the UK, US, Spain, Italy, and Poland. Following her research experience, she has taught at the University of Warsaw, among other institutions, and is the author, editor, and translator of numerous academic books and articles.

Bogna has a particular professional and scholarly interest in the visual arts, their medium-specific qualities, questions of taste, and the life-cycles of the aesthetic values that pump life into the arts. Her research and editorial experience are instrumental in successfully advising young scholars on study methods and career development.

As an entrepreneur, she directs art, research, and educational projects and facilitates processes of heritage management and valuation. Currently, she is working on a project dedicated to the re-definition of heritage. Its objective is to include the intangible patrimony of aesthetic values into everyday practices of heritage preservation. As a consultant and coach, Dr. Gladden-Obidzinska helps individuals and organisations develop and implement their strategic goals for sustainable growth. Her role at the Mantinea Institute includes managing business processes and coordination of programmes

In her professional contacts, she uses in Polish, English, Spanish, and Italian and draws on her transdisciplinary network of international partners and collaborators. Her passions include listening to baroque music, interior design, and refurbishment of distressed artefacts.
