Our Team

The Mantinea Institute brings together an international and interdisciplinary team of researchers, artists, educators and cultural practitioners united by a shared commitment to art-based research and the thoughtful interpretation of cultural heritage. Our expertise spans musicology, cultural heritage, aesthetics and philosophy, visual and performing arts, film, sound and spatial practices, VR/XR and digital technologies, and education.

What connects these diverse perspectives is a belief in artistic practice as a form of inquiry: a way of understanding heritage through attentive engagement with people, places, objects, sounds, memories and traditions. Working across disciplines and cultural contexts, the team combines scholarly rigour with artistic experimentation to develop research, creative projects and new forms of heritage interpretation.
